This is an project about the role typography plays in book design. In addition to presenting the linguistic content of the book, typography helps to define and manage the space of each single page; how spreads work when two pages face each other, and how time is experienced by the reader as they move through the book by establishing pacing and intentional delivery of content. It is an artist book for Martin Puryear and I focused on Martin Puryear’s flowing and organic edges of his sculptures.
